This study investigates the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in social studies education through a questionnaire-based survey of 300 secondary school educators and principals. The research explores perceptions of ICT, its benefits, challenges, and current integration practices in Social Studies classrooms. Findings indicate that both educators and principals generally perceive ICT as beneficial, enhancing student engagement and understanding. Significant challenges include inadequate resources, insufficient training, and technical issues. The study identifies key factors influencing successful ICT integration, such as adequate infrastructure, ongoing professional development, and administrative support. Differences in perceptions based on years of experience and school type highlight the need for targeted training and investment in ICT resources. The study provides valuable insights for educators, school leaders, and policymakers to improve ICT integration in Social Studies, ultimately enhancing educational outcomes and fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry.
