The Frequency and Contributing Factors of Fluoroquinolone Resistance among Significant Bacterial Pathogens

Abstract
Pathogens from the Enterobacteriaceae family account for 84.3% of urinary tract infections (UTIs). Within the bacterial family Enterobacteriaceae, encompassing Proteus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, and Citrobacter species, alongside Pseudomonas, Enterococcus, Streptococci, Staphylococci, and Candida albicans, E. coli is the predominant pathogen responsible for urinary tract infections (UTIs) more frequently than any of the aforementioned organisms. This has caused a lot of problems in clinical care, infection control, and antimicrobial management. The current study, called " The Frequency and Contributing Factors of Fluoroquinolone Resistance Among Significant Bacterial Pathogens," tried to find out where common clinical bacterial pathogens are found, how well they are at fighting off antibiotics, how common multidrug-resistant organisms are, and how resistance patterns differ between different types of bacteria and clinical specimens. The prevalence of multidrug resistance was considerable, with A. baumannii demonstrating the most prominent MDR characteristics. Notable resistance phenotypes, including as MRSA, ESBL production, carbapenem resistance, and VRE, were also recognized. Statistical study indicated that multidrug-resistant (MDR) status showed significant variability across bacterial species, whereas the relationship between specimen type and MDR status was very weak in the model assessment.
