Abstract
Modern literary criticism has been significantly impacted by digital media, which has altered the dissemination, interpretation, and analysis of literature. As a result of technological advancements, the study of English literature has evolved. With the rise of digital storytelling, online publishing, and e-books, the literary landscape has transformed, both for creators and readers. A new manner of reading, thinking about, and engaging with literature has emerged in the digital age. Literary criticism has grown in both popularity and adherents thanks to the proliferation of digital tools for textual analysis, which has long been associated with academics. We will propose and explore four theoretical, critical dimensions that are relevant to a reflection about the potential role of literary theory in the digital age. These dimensions will be part of a larger reflection about the implications of digital media's emergence on literature and text production. Many industries, including education, have been profoundly affected by the fast development and widespread use of communication technology and digital media.
