Role of data security in elliptic curve cryptography

Abstract

Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) has emerged as a powerful tool in modern cryptographic systems, offering high security with relatively small key sizes. As data security becomes increasingly critical in the digital age, ECC's role in safeguarding information is more prominent than ever. This paper explores the significance of data security within the framework of ECC, emphasizing its efficiency, scalability, and robustness against attacks. By leveraging the mathematical properties of elliptic curves, ECC provides strong encryption while minimizing computational overhead, making it ideal for resource-constrained environments such as mobile devices and IoT networks.
